Louisa Connolly-Burnham is an award-winning director, actress and screenwriter based in London, originally hailing from Birmingham.
After falling in love with film at a young age, she started acting; often roping her Granddad in to play her co-star.
Louisa started directing in 2019 with her debut 'The Call Centre' nominated for ‘Best International Film’ at the Oscar-qualifying Foyle Film Festival. It currently has 2+ million views on Omeleto making it one of the most successful films on the platform to date.
Her latest short ‘Sister Wives’ has been met with global acclaim, currently on The Oscar, BAFTA and BIFA longlist after taking home The Grand Prix and ‘Best Director’ win at the Kinsale Shark Awards this year. It also placed 3rd highest rated film globally on Letterboxd’s ‘Year In Review’ in 2024.
Known for her compelling narratives and exceptional performances, Louisa is drawn to stories that champion women, promote equality, body positivity and that push for social justice.
When she isn’t directing, she’s often found singing in her band ‘Virens’, collecting thimbles or back in her Dad’s pub in Oxfordshire.
